Who is it for?
The Advanced Certificate in Professional Trainer Competence is designed specifically for those with a hands-on
training role, responsible for the development and delivery of training
interventions. It will be suitable for experienced trainers, training
consultants, training designers and those who deal with training needs
analysis.
There are no specific pre-requisites for this course, but
it is aimed at experienced (2 years +) L&D practitioners and will
be delivered at a level in accordance with this.
What is it about?
This programme is an integrated qualification for hands-on L&D
professionals, that benchmarks best practice in order to provide proven
skills across the wide spectrum of competencies that training designers
and training delivery managers are expected to possess. This
qualification is underpinned by our Trainer Competency Framework, which
draws on best practice in the field and the Active Learning Model.
Course Overview
The Advanced Certificate is a modular, flexible programme based around
day release courses that run throughout the year and are taken at times
to suit you. It follows the format of the Certificate in Learning and
Development at Level 1, then specialises with an Advanced Train the
Trainer module before a practical assessment and award.

The Advanced Certificate in Learning & Development Management is
awarded following 8 days of specialist training via a practical
assessment against best practice. You will be required to put into
practice what you have learned during the trainer-led modules, and will
be assessed against the trainer competency framework made available to
you at the start of the Certificate.
