The certificate has been designed primarily with the Professional Skills for Government (PSG) Core Competency Framework in mind to help Civil Servants to achieve the core skills which apply to Grade 7 or equivalent.
It's for anyone with responsibility for managing people or systems, or ambitious individuals looking to progress to their first management role.

This is a comprehensive and challenging programme for new and aspiring managers who are looking to add to their experience with a first-class academic grounding. The qualification combines practical skills with theoretical understanding and delegates are fully supported by expert tutors.
The programme also paves the way for further study at degree level if desired.

The Certificate of Higher Education in Management is gained through a flexible combination of tutor-led learning, assessed coursework and a final business improvement project. The cost of the programme includes all learning materials, assessment certification and tutor support.

Module 4: Campus Workshop
On the 1 Day workshop, you'll spend time, along with other delegates,
with a tutor on campus at the Royal Holloway, University of London.
Based in Surrey, this is home to some groundbreaking business and
social research centres. During the day, you'll study two modules:
Thinking Tools; and Business Planning.
This is your chance to work
with other delegates on the programme, share insights on live business
issues and take a look at the skills needed for the subsequent
improvement project.
Module 5: Organisation Improvement Project
This is where the qualification comes into its own. The Organisation
Improvement Project is a written assessment that gives delegates a
chance to receive expert guidance from tutors on a written report. You
will write the report
focussed on a specific issue within your organisation, and be
challenged to consider your role within the organisation. The aim is to
generate measurable performance benefits for your organisation.
