Presenting a competency based programme that's the exam-free alternative to the traditional study route CIPD Coaching & Mentoring certificate.

  • Already hold an HR qualification, but would like to demonstrate and develop skills in this specialist area
  • HR professional supporting line managers and other employees in their development

What is it about?

Coaching & mentoring is a profession which is growing rapidly, primarily because it is an uniquely satisfying career.  The Competency Based Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring (CBCC&M) programme has been developed to address the rising number of professionals who are seeking to benchmark and accredit their coaching skills as well as learn new techniques.
This particular Competency Based route to accreditation is a new way to study towards the CIPD Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring, that doesn't involve sitting any exams.

Units covered in the programme are:
  • Coaching & mentoring in context
  • Developing a coaching & mentoring plan
  • Manage and support a coaching and mentoring relationship
  • Develop, monitor and improve own professional practice

Course Overview

This programme is delivered one-to-one with a qualified advisor, via flexible meetings to fit around your work schedule.
The programme features:
  • Work place observation
  • Advisors based in most areas of the UK
  • Unlimited telephone and email support throughout your assessment
The advisor will work to build up a body of evidence that supports your application to be considered for the certificate, through observing your workplace behaviours and processes.  They will guide you in matching your competencies to requirements, and producing evidence.
This is not a taught programme and therefore assumes that candidates have experience and work-based evidence available.
